Roborock Qrevo Edge 2

A robot that vacuums and mops with two spinning pads, paired with a dock that handles most of the upkeep: it empties the dust into a bag, rated by the manufacturer for up to 65 days, washes the pads with water at up to 80 °C and dries them with 55 °C warm air. The dock does not dose detergent: it is poured by hand into the clean-water tank, and the dirty-water tank is emptied by hand, since the dock has no plumbing connection.

The body is 7.98 cm tall. The laser turret that builds the map retracts when the robot slides under low furniture, where a 100° wide-angle camera keeps it located. At the front, structured light and a colour camera recognise obstacles. On carpets it detaches the pads, so rugs do not get wet. The main brush and side brush are designed not to wrap long hair and pet fur.

The same camera is used for video calls from the app: the feature is off out of the box, is enabled by confirming with a button on the robot, and every session asks for an unlock pattern in the app. There are also microphones, for the "Hello Rocky" voice assistant, which answers without an internet connection and can be switched off. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only, Matter is supported, and security updates are guaranteed until 8 May 2028.
