iRobot Roomba 115 Combo + AutoEmpty Dock

The 115 Combo with AutoEmpty dock adds automatic dust emptying to the same 115 robot: at the end of a run, debris moves into a 2.5-litre AllergenLock bag in the dock, rated by the manufacturer to trap 99% of pollen and mould and to seal itself on removal without raising dust. A LiDAR turret on the lid builds up to 3 maps of the home, even across different floors, organised by room in the Roomba Home app. A flexible bristle brush and an edge-extending side brush pick up dirt along walls and in corners.

Mopping is still handled by a microfibre pad fixed under the water tank, which does not spin or vibrate: it dampens the floor more than it scrubs it, and has to be washed by hand after every use, since the dock does not clean it. The filter is cleaned dry, by tapping it or brushing it: it is not meant to be rinsed with water. The robot connects only to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, required for both the app and everyday operation.

It suits someone who wants to stop emptying the bin by hand but is fine washing the pad by hand after each run; anyone who also wants automatic pad washing should look at a higher tier, with an AutoWash dock.
