Narwal Freo 20 Edge

The Freo 20 Edge is the edge-and-corner-focused variant of the Freo 20 range: the 26.6 cm Track Mop, rinsed by sixteen clean-water points, extends 4.8 cm past the robot's body to reach skirting boards and the legs of chairs and tables. The side brush reverses direction to pick up dust right in the corners. On carpets the mop lifts by 12 mm and suction increases automatically, so the fabric does not get wet. Navigation does not use a LiDAR but a rear dToF sensor paired with dual structured light, recognising up to 150 objects.

The dock empties the bin by itself into a 2.5-litre bag rated for up to 120 days, washes the mop and dries it with hot air at 45 °C; the floor cleaning solution included in the box is still poured in by hand, since no official source describes automatic dosing. On board there is a camera, mentioned in the setup instructions for aligning the robot with the dock; the manual's full component list does not, however, list a microphone. Wi-Fi covers only 2.4 GHz, and the control app is simply called Narwal.

The battery charges in about three hours and the robot runs at 59 dB, with a lock that prevents accidental starts in homes with children or pets. The manufacturer does not state the maximum threshold height the robot can climb, nor the runtime in minutes. It suits a home with lots of corners, wall-hugging furniture and the odd rug, for someone who prefers a model without a camera that recognises distant objects and without an onboard microphone.
