1X NEO

NEO is a humanoid robot designed for the home: it walks, climbs stairs, sits down and kneels. According to 1X, it carries out on its own the tasks it has already learned, such as tidying objects or bringing something to the kitchen. For a task it does not know, the owner can schedule a session with a 1X Expert, an employee who remotely supervises the robot's movements to complete the job and teach it the gesture. At launch, the kitchen functions remain disabled: the manufacturer has limited them compared with what NEO already knows how to do, offering for now recipes or help clearing the table rather than actual food preparation.
NEO sees with two stereo fisheye-lens cameras and listens with four beamforming microphones. When an Expert is connected, the light rings on its ears change colour to signal this, and the session only starts once the owner has scheduled and accepted it by voice or from the app: it is not a connection that opens on its own. 1X may transfer the data it collects to the United States and other jurisdictions, not necessarily the one where the owner lives.
It is ordered directly from the 1X website with a deposit that stays refundable until the day the robot is ready for delivery, choosing between a one-off purchase and a monthly subscription that includes use of the robot. 1X has announced the first deliveries in the United States from 2026, reserved at first for early-access customers; international deliveries will follow later, with no date made public.
